Without diving too deep and only providing a surface level of understanding, these three tips will provide you with a possible starting point towards your healing journey. Healing isn’t easy, but necessary if we are to become a better version of ourselves. It’s the better version of self that leads to a more abundant and fulfilling life.
1. Create a safe quiet space.
Create a safe quiet space away from any distractions where you can begin to explore current emotions you're experiencing. It may be helpful to start by carving 5 minutes each day within that safe space. I recommend having a routine to retreat to that safe space when you are feeling challenging emotions. This allows an opportunity absent from distraction, to center oneself and be present with emotions that surface.
2. Become aware of emotions
Allow emotions to surface. Be present without distractions or avoidance of challenging emotions. Acknowledge the emotion while in a state of observation. Avoid labeling emotions as good or bad. Take note of memories or thoughts that arise alongside challenging emotions. Focus on where the emotion is being stored within the body. Bring your attention to that location while taking slow deep breaths. Feel and focus on your breath, while allowing thoughts, beliefs, and memories to come to mind in correlation with those challenging emotions.
Emotions are our compass into our thoughts and beliefs.
When we acknowledge our limited beliefs, we become aware of our emotional triggers. This emotional understanding gained through intentional awareness provides the ability to respond consciously to life instead of reacting impulsively and unconsciously to experiences that "happen" to us.
3. Heart Chakra healing
Heart Chakra opening and healing is a powerful tool that fosters self-love and healing into the physical body. The Heart Chakra is a multidimensional portal within the center of our physical bodies. When this portal opens and expands, it allows multidimensional healing light and love to come through. This light pours into the whole body and seeps into the other Chakras. The Heart Chakra is the hub for self-love. Deep healing comes when our Heart Chakra portal is activated.
One simple technique to help activate the Heart Chakra is to place your hand(s) over that area located in the middle of the chest. While taking slow deep breaths, bring your attention to the Heart Chakra. Allow yourself to feel into that space while imagining golden light emitting from within the Chakra and expanding outward into your body. Follow your intuition and take this exercise to where it may lead. The power that resides within our own center, the Heart Chakra is one of the key tools for healing our emotional wounding.
